Join us for a four day / three night trip to Cape Breton Island where we will enjoy the annual Celtic Colours International Festival and see Cape Breton's fall leaves at their most brilliant.

The festival presents international Celtic musicians and performers, and the finest of Cape Breton's musicians, singers, dancers, bagpipers, storytellers and tradition-bearers; travelling around the island this time of year offers one breathtaking view after another.

Day 1: October 14

Enjoy a scenic and colorful fall drive to Cape Breton Island along the Ceilidh Trail to Baddeck on the Bras d'ors Lakes. En route, visit the Glooscap Heritage Centre in Millbrook and enjoy a leisurely lunch at the Cove Restaurant in Antigonish. You'll also stop at one of the many venues of the Celtic Colours International Festival for a performance before checking into the charming, lakeside Inverary Resort for a three night stay. (Dinner)

Day 2: October 15

Relax and enjoy the facilities of your resort. You may wish to swim in the indoor pool or enjoy a leisurely stroll around the beautiful property. Today you will also visit the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site and travel to Sydney for the closing concert of the Celtic Colours International Festival. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 3: October 16

Experience the world famous Cabot Trail: a ribbon of highway where the mountains meet the sea. There will be plenty of stops for pictures of the breathtaking scenery and picnic lunch along the trail. (Breakfast, Boxed Lunch & Dinner)

Day 4: October 17

Travel across the Canso Causeway to the mainland and on to the Hector Heritage Quay to have a unique glimpse into the journey of the early Scottish settlers to Nova Scotia. Savour a delicious lunch at the Pictou Lodge Resort before returning to Halifax, taking with you many fond memories of your time in Cape Breton. (Breakfast & Lunch)

Payment

A non-refundable $200 deposit per person is payable upon booking with the remaining balance due 45 days prior to departure.

Cancellation Terms

In the event of cancellation, the following penalties will apply:

- Between 45 and 31 days prior to departure: 50% of the total tour price will be retained.

- Between 30 days to day of departure and after departure: 100% of the total tour price will be retained.

Certain conditions apply and medical approval from Powers Home Care is required prior to travel.

Cancellation Insurance is available and strongly recommended.

Itinerary Variations

If unforeseen circumstances beyond our control necessitate changes, we reserve the right to vary itineraries/accommodations and substitute the best alternative available.
