Day 1: Halifax, NS to Charlottetown, PE
Depart Halifax for Charlottetown with pickups en route. See the red sandstone cliffs, white beaches, gently sloping sand dunes and green fields of Prince Edward Island National Park. Visit the home of Green Gables, a Mecca for people from around the globe. Enjoy a delicious lobster dinner (meat alternative available) before settling in for the night. (D)

Day 2: Charlottetown, PE to Cap-aux-Meules, QC
Briefly tour Charlottetown before continuing to Souris where we will board the ferry to the magical Magdalen Islands. Relax during our five-hour journey to this unique part of Quebec. Spend the next three nights in the heart of Cap-aux-Meules. (CB)

Day 3: Touring the Magdalen Islands
Today enjoy a Caves & Cliffs Boat Tour where you will learn about the history, geology, and birds of the Magdalen Islands from your local tour guide. Later, stop at Dune-du-Sud where red cliffs sculpted by the sea shelter this beautiful red sand beach. Don't hesitate to explore the caves during low tide. (CB, L)

Day 4: Touring the Magdalen Islands
During our visit to the Museum of the Sea, learn the importance of the sea to the Madelinots’ way of life through displays and artifacts. Visit Fumoir d'Antan - a herring smokehouse. Also visit La Grave - once a favourite meeting spot for fishing and commerce - is now home to many artisans and craftspeople. (CB)

Day 5: Cap-aux-Meules, QC to Halifax, NS
Ferry back to Prince Edward Island, cross over to New Brunswick via Confederation Bridge and then travel back to Halifax with fond memories of the Magdalen Islands. (CB)

If you live 25km outside these areas, we offer a great complimentary option to join our tours of 5 days or longer (does not include our shopping tour departures):

Choice of:

1. Hotel Night – drive your own vehicle and have one complimentary overnight and parking for the duration of your vacation at either the Halifax Airport, Truro, Moncton, Saint John or Fredericton. You can stay the night prior to departure and the night you return – the choice is yours.

2. Bus vouchers to get to the nearest scheduled pick-up points to join the tour.
