Your journey takes you through the lush Annapolis Valley and on to Grand Pre where fact and fiction blend to reveal the romance of the Land of Evangeline. Continue past the communities of Truro and Amherst as you cross into New Brunswick, spending the night in the bilingual city of Moncton. (Breakfast)
Your guided tour continues to Hopewell Rocks where you may walk on the ocean floor at low tide. After lunch, cross to Prince Edward Island on Confederation Bridge, the world's longest continuous multi-span bridge, and enjoy a delicious lobster supper (meat alternative available) before checking in to Charlottetown accommodations for the next two nights. Enjoy a free morning in Charlottetown. Your included afternoon tour begins with a tour of Charlottetown, Canada's Birthplace, then visiting the red sandstone cliffs, white beaches, gently sloping sand dunes and green fields of Prince Edward Island National Park. Lucy Maud Montgomery describes the scenery in her "Anne of Green Gables" books. Visit the home of "Green Gables", a Mecca for people from around the globe. (Breakfast, Lunch)
Take the ferry to Nova Scotia, and then proceed to Cape Breton Island - "the Scotland of North America." Visit the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site in Baddeck to marvel at the many accomplishments of this genius. Spend two nights at a charming lakeside resort in the heart of Baddeck. You're off to experience one of the prettiest drives in North America, the Cabot Trail. Cape Breton Highlands National Park is next, as you wind along this ribbon of highway, where the mountains meet the sea. The vistas abound as you travel over the flat-topped mountains. Also enjoy a whale watching boat tour (weather permitting). Tonight there is a "Farewell" dinner. (Breakfast, Picnic Lunch, Dinner)

The Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site awaits you. This reconstruction recreates one-fifth of the town of 1744 - words will not do justice to the scope of this tribute to New France. Roam the streets talking with some of the costumed guides who remain in character, or sample the sustenance of the era. Late this afternoon, meet your next group of travelers as you board a Marine Atlantic ferry for a relaxing crossing to Port aux Basques, your port of entry on the island of Newfoundland. (Breakfast)
Note: The Marine Atlantic Ferry schedule changes yearly. As such, an overnight crossing including cabin accommodation may be necessary.
Drive through the Codroy Valley and on to Corner Brook, the largest city on the west coast, for a brief tour. Your journey continues through Gros Morne National Park - to be enjoyed later on during your tour - to the fishing community of Port au Choix. While there, visit Port au Choix National Historic Site, before checking in to your accommodations for the night. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Board the ferry from St. Barbe to cross the Strait of Belle Isle to Labrador. Continue to Red Bay National Historic Site where the Basques had a whaling station in the 16th century. Spend the night in Labrador. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Return to Newfoundland and travel to L'Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site, the first cultural discovery in the world to receive recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hear of the Vikings who walked here over a thousand years ago. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Enjoy a morning whale watching boat tour in St. Anthony (weather permitting)* before travelling to Cow Head for a two-night stay. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Discover why Gros Morne National Park is truly one of the highlights of your tour. Visit the Broom Point Fishing Exhibit and Lobster Cove Lighthouse. Enjoy a scenic boat tour (weather permitting) as you learn the geology of the Tablelands, see the bald eagles that frequent the deep waters of the fjord, and hear the history of the small villages nestled on the shores. Have your camera at the ready as your time in Gros Morne National Park draws to a close. Later travel through central Newfoundland and on to Gander where you spend two nights. (Breakfast, Dinner)
A scenic drive along the rocky coast of Notre Dame Bay leads to the beautiful outport of Twillingate. At the tip of the island, visit Long Point Lighthouse and the local co-op. Return to Gander to visit the North Atlantic Aviation Museum before returning to your hotel. (Breakfast, Lunch)
Head out on the Trans-Canada Highway to visit Terra Nova National Park, the most easterly of Canada's beautiful national parks. Keep your camera close at hand for wildlife along the way. Learn about the hard life of light keepers at Cape Bonavista Lighthouse Provincial Historic Site. This afternoon stroll through the lanes of the charming town of Trinity and see several historic buildings including a typical 20th century rural merchant's house and a counting house. In Brigus, visit Hawthorne Cottage National Historic Site and learn about the adventures of world famous explorer Captain Bob Bartlett. Continue to Bay Bulls for one of the highlights of your trip ...a boat tour to the Witless Bay Bird Sanctuary (weather permitting). Later visit the most easterly point in North America, Cape Spear National Historic Site. Arrive in the capital city of St. John's for a two-night stay. (Breakfast, Dinner)
This morning, enjoy an intriguing tour of this old seaport - St. John's. See the Victorian architecture of the downtown area, the busy modern waterfront, the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Confederation Building, and the panoramic view from Signal Hill National Historic Site. Payment
A non-refundable $400 deposit per person is payable upon booking with the remaining balance due 45 days prior to departure.
Cancellation Terms
In the event of cancellation, the following penalties will apply:
- Between 45 and 31 days prior to departure: 50% of the total tour price will be retained.
- Between 30 days to day of departure and after departure: 100% of the total tour price will be retained.
Cancellation Insurance is available and strongly recommended.
Itinerary Variations
If unforeseen circumstances beyond our control necessitate changes, we reserve the right to vary itineraries/accommodations and substitute the best alternative available.
