If you were in the service, or knew someone that was in the service during WWII, this is an experience you should not miss and one you will never forget. This is an opportunity to revisit some of the events presented by the USO, usually very close to the battlefield during the campaign. In addition to Bob Hope, King Neptune's USO Show features tributes artists honouring the Andrews Sisters and the Glenn Miller Band. Also enjoy "New Jersey Nights" Show featuring the Music of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasonsand the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra's "The Sinatra Legacy" a Tribute with the Tommy Darsey Orchestra

Day 1: Halifax, NS - Bangor, ME
Depart Halifax for Bangor with stops en route.
Day 2: Bangor, ME - Carteret, NJ
Travel from Bangor to Carteret. (CB, D)
Day 3: Carteret, NJ - Salisbury, MD
Spend time in Cape Mary where you will take a guided tour, visit Emlen Physick House & Estate, and explore the 2 mile Boardwalk. Later, take the ferry to Delaware and continue on to Salisbury (CB, D)
Day 4: Salisbury, MS - Virginia Beach, VA
Visit the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art before departing Salisbury for Virginia Beach. After checking int our hotel for a four-night stay, we will head to the Cavalier Hotel, whose oceanfront ballroom is where the Big Bands of the 30's, 40's, and 50's played on Saturday Nights. We enjoy a candlelight seafood buffet featuring Steamed Seasoned Shrimp, "Catch of the Day" Baked Fish, Crisp Southern Fried Fish Filets, Sliced Sirloin, Hush Puppies, Red Skin Potatoes, salads, vegetables, drinks and desserts.
As dinner concludes the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra takes the stage and performs a couple of numbers to warm up the audience for our headline event: "The Sinatra Legacy," a special tribute to the music of Frank Sinatra. We will be swinging (The Cabaret Ballroom Dance Floor is Open) as our Frank Sinatra tribute artist performs "Come Fly With Me," " The Lady is a Tramp," "I've Got You Under My Skin,". "Mack The Knife," "Fly Me to the Moon," and "My Way." (CB, L, D)
Day 5: Virginia Beach, VA
Enjoy a free morning at the recently refurbished Virginia Beach oceanfront boardwalk. This afternoon, tour the Norfolk Naval Station, homeport to more than 80 ships of the Atlantic Fleet, and the world's largest naval installation. Also visit the Nauticus Science & Technology Center - an exciting science and technology center exploring the power of the sea - and the Battleship USS Wisconsin - one of the largest Battleships ever built.
After a buffet dinner of Virginia favorites, we head to the Sandler Center for this evening's musical tribute:"New Jersey Nights," The Story of The Jersey Boys: Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. The lead singer plays Frankie Valli in his 20's and performs wonderful versions of "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Walk Like a Man," "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You," "My Eyes Adored You" and, of course, "Let's Hang On" and "Oh What A Night." Day 6: Virginia Beach, VA
Arrive at the Virginia Beach Military Aviation Museum. Here we visit hangars filled with more than 65 military aircraft from WWI and WWII. We then take bleacher seats by the airfield. An open-air, antique, English Double Decker Bus sporting a banner for the Glenn Miller AAF Band drives up with "Bob Hope", "The Andrews Sisters" and the entire "Glenn Miller Band" in WWII uniform waving from the top deck.
Our celebrities and musicians then join the audience for the "Swingtime in the Skies" Air-Show, which features narration on historic planes and music of the era with flyovers featuring both Tri-Planes and Bi-Planes. Once the Air Show ends everyone enjoys a Southern Style Cookout in the Hangar featuring Southern Style Pulled Pork, Fried Chicken, salads, vegetables, Bourbon Peach Cobbler and more.
Leaving the Museum, we travel to the Sandler Center Performance Hall for King Neptune's USO Show, a nostalgic "Thanks for the Memories" evening with the comedy of "Bob Hope", the harmony of the incomparable "Andrews Sisters," and a 14-piece orchestra that is a tribute to the greatest military band of all time: The Glenn Miller AAF Band. The song list includes: "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," "In the Mood," "Moonlight Serenade," "The Army Air Corps Song" and many more. The evening is a tribute to these performers who, more than any others, entertained America's Troops while they served overseas. Later, enjoy a 1960's Beach Party with more live music and dancing (B, D)
Day 7: Virginia Beach, VA - Ocean City, MD
Bid farewell to Virginia Beach and cruise the Pocomoke River aboard the Bay Queen for narrated nature tour. Later, enjoy a tour of the Burley Oak Brewery and savour a fabulous dinner at Harrison's Harborwatch overlooking Assateague Island and a beautiful inlet. There will be plenty of time this evening to try your luck under the dazzling lights of the all-new Casino at Ocean Downs. (B, Boxed L, D)
Day 8: Ocean City, MD to Carteret, NJ
Explore the Ocean City Boardwalk this morning before we make our way to Atlantic City for a free afternoon of fun and excitement. Return to Carteret this evening. (B, D)
Day 9: Carteret, NJ - Bangor, ME
Travel from Carteret to Bangor. (CB)
Day 10: Bangor, ME - Halifax, NS
You are homeward bound today as you make your way back to the Maritimes with fond memories of your vacation. (CB)

Payment
A non-refundable $200 deposit per person is payable upon booking with the remaining balance due 45 days prior to departure.
Cancellation Terms
In the event of cancellation, the following penalties will apply:
- Between 45 and 31 days prior to departure: 50% of the total tour price will be retained.
- Between 30 days to day of departure and after departure: 100% of the total tour price will be retained.
Cancellation Insurance is available and strongly recommended.
Itinerary Variations
If unforeseen circumstances beyond our control necessitate changes, we reserve the right to vary itineraries/accommodations and substitute the best alternative available.
