Day 1: Halifax, NS - Portsmouth, NH

Depart Halifax for Portsmouth with pickups en route.

Day 2: Portsmouth to New York, NY

We will be travelling through Massachusetts and Connecticut today on our way to New York City where we will spend the night at the Doubletree by Hilton in midtown. Our early afternoon arrival in Manhattan will leave you with plenty of time to explore Times Square, shop at Macy's or take in a Broadway show. (B)

Day 3: New York - Arlington, VA

Depart New York for Washington, DC where we will visit will be the National World War II Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Korean War Veterans Memorial before checking into the Sheraton Crystal City in nearby Arlington, VA for our 4 night stay.

Day 4: Washington, DC

We have an action packed day today as we continue to tour Washington, DC. This morning we will visit the new Capitol Visitor Center on Capitol Hill, seat of American government. Included in your visit will be the United States Capitol, United States Library of Congress and the Supreme Court Building. This afternoon enjoy some free time to explore in the National Mall, the core of Washington, DC. You may wish to visit your choice of the Smithsonian's many museums. Enjoy dinner this evening at King Street Blues before arriving at the Kennedy Center for this evening's performance of Shear Madness. Set in a hairstyling salon that is the scene of a wacky murder, Shear Madness is filled with up-to-the-minute spontaneous humour. (B, D)

Day 5: Washington, DC

Today visit Ford's Theatre, Petersen House and the new Center for Education and Leadership. Enjoy lunch on your own at the Reagan Building/International Trade Center Food Court - just named "DC's Best" food court by Frommer's. Our tour continues with a visit to the new Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial. We also stop at The Jefferson Memorial, the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial, the Marine Corps War Memorial (Iwo Jima Statue) and the Air Force Memorial built on a hillside overlooking the Pentagon. This evening, enjoy dinner at Café Italia, proudly serving fine Italian cuisine for over 30 year. After dinner, we will make a stop at the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial Park before returning to our hotel. Day 6: Washinton, DC

Before heading into DC this morning, we stop at the Visitor's Center of Arlington National Cemetery for a tour. Enjoy free time and lunch on your own at the National Mall this afternoon before returning to Arlington for our last night in Virginia. (B)

Day 7: Arlington - Milford, MA

This morning we bid farewell to the Washington area and make our way to Milford, just outside of Boston. The evening is free. (B)

Day 8: Boston Touring & Wrentham Village

This morning we will have a tour of the city of Boston. Faneuil Hall, the Old State House, King's Chapel, Old Granary Burial Ground, site of the Boston Massacre, and Beacon Hill are all highlighted as your guide relates the history, folklore and current events of Boston. A walk through the North End to introduce you to one of Boston's oldest and most historic neighbourhoods with the Paul Revere House and the Old North Church where lanterns were hung to signal Paul Revere. Our final stop is the Quincy Market. This afternoon, we head to Wrentham Village for some outlet shopping. (B)

Day 9: Milford - Halifax, NS

We are homeward bound today as we make our way back to the Maritimes with fond memories of Washington, New York and Boston. (B)

A non-refundable $200 deposit per person is payable upon booking with the remaining balance due 45 days prior to departure.

Cancellation Terms

In the event of cancellation, the following penalties will apply:

- Between 45 and 31 days prior to departure: 50% of the total tour price will be retained.

- Between 30 days to day of departure and after departure: 100% of the total tour price will be retained.

Cancellation Insurance is available and strongly recommended.
