Bangor ME to Hasbrouck Heights NJ
Your journey continues southward through New England, part of upstate New York and into New Jersey for the night. (Continental Breakfast)
DAY 3: April 11, 2024
Hasbrouck Heights NJ to Washington DC area
Today takes you to Washington DC, home of the National Cherry Blossom Festival. Enjoy some free time on the National Mall, home to many Smithsonian Institute museums and galleries. There is bound to be one or two that grab your interest! Afterwards, travel to nearby National Harbor, Maryland, to stay four-nights at the impressive Gaylord National Resort. Located on the banks of the Potomac River, the resort is close to DC and just steps aways from restaurants, entertainment, and shopping. Receive your Cherry Blossom Festival package, including a 2024 keepsake pin, cherry blossom pom poms for the parade and admission to the Capitol Wheel, located within easy walking distance of your hotel. DAY 4: April 12, 2024
Washington DC Touring
It’s a full day of touring the Washington DC area! Begin your day with a visit to Arlington National Cemetery. A tram takes you through the cemetery to see President John F. Kennedy’s gravesite, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and other important sites. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of Washington DC, including a drive along Embassy Row and by Washington National Cathedral. Stop at the Roosevelt, Martin Luther King Jr and Jefferson Memorials. Visit Hillwood Estate, Museum and Gardens to marvel at its outstanding collection of Russian Imperial art, including exquisite Fabergé eggs. Enjoy a stroll amongst the world-famous cherry tree blossoms along the Tidal Basin (blossoms pending nature’s timing). After dinner, this evening’s highlight is sure to be an illuminated monument driving tour. The city’s monuments are stunning at night! (Breakfast, Dinner)
DAY 5: April 13, 2024
Cherry Blossom Parade
Herald the beginning of Spring in the US Capital by attending the Cherry Blossom Parade! Enjoy this delightful spectacle from Premium Grandstand seating. The Parade combines some of the festival’s best entertainment into one amazing show and your vantage point gets you up-close with the performers. Don’t forget your pom poms to cheer on your favourites! In the afternoon, it’s all aboard the Odyssey III for a Cherry Blossom Boat Cruise! See the stunning views of the cherry trees in bloom from the Potomac River and a delicious meal while on board. Be sure to wear pink today to make the cruise especially festive! DAY 6: April 14, 2024
Washington DC Touring
Go “undercover” with a visit to the International Spy Museum! Discover the tradecraft, history, and contemporary role of espionage. See the World War Two code breaking machine Enigma, a shoe transmitter reminiscent of “Get Smart”, a camera that takes pictures through walls and much more! In the afternoon, visit Mount Vernon, the estate of George Washington, the first president of the United States. Learn about Washington’s life and fascinating insights into colonial times. DAY 7: April 15, 2024
Washington DC area to Hasbrouck Heights NJ
Say farewell to Washington as your homeward journey begins. Return to New Jersey for the night. (Breakfast)
DAY 8: April 16, 2024
Upstate NY to Bangor MN
Travel through upstate New York and New England to Bangor for the last night of the tour. (Breakfast)
