DAY 1: Sunday, September 20, 2026
Arrive Halifax, NS
Arrive in Halifax and check in to your accommodations which are ideally located in the downtown area of this vibrant and cosmopolitan urban centre on the Atlantic Ocean. Meet your Tour Director and fellow travelers this evening at a Meet & Greet.
DAY 2: Monday, September 21, 2026
South Shore Touring
Enjoy a city tour to start your day in downtown Halifax. Then head to the South Shore for some exploring along the coast. Your first stop is in Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to see one of the most remarkably preserved colonial settlements in the New World. Your day will also include a picture stop of three centuries-old churches in Mahone Bay, before travelling to Peggy’s Cove to see one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world. Here you will have time to explore this quaint fishing village before you return to Halifax. (Breakfast, Dinner)
DAY 3: Tuesday, September 22, 2026
Halifax, NS to Saint John, NB
Travel to the scenic Annapolis Valley and visit Grand Pre National Historic Site. Learn about this landscape’s designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as fact and fiction blend to reveal the romance of the Land of Evangeline. Drive through the Valley and visit the Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens. Continue to Digby, Scallop Capital of the World, to board the ferry to Saint John, your home for the next two nights. DAY 4: Wednesday, September 23, 2026
St. Andrew’s by-the-Sea Touring
Enjoy a brief city tour of historic Saint John before you travel to St. Andrew’s by-the-Sea. You will have free time to explore this quaint little seaside town and enjoy a Whale Watching Boat Tour. (Breakfast)
DAY 5: Thursday, September 24, 2026
Saint John, NS to Shediac, NB
Experience a true natural wonder this morning at Hopewell Rocks on the coast of the Bay of Fundy. Marvel at these massive flower-pot shaped formations sculpted by the highest tides on the planet. After experiencing the site and lunch, continue to Shediac where you will enjoy a Lobster Dinner on a Lobster Boat in Shediac before checking into your accommodations for the night. DAY 6: Friday, September 25, 2026
Shediac, NB to Charlottetown, PE
Cross Confederation Bridge, one of the top engineering achievements of the past century, to Prince Edward Island. Enjoy Acadian music and food at Village Musical Acadien before arriving in Charlottetown where a local tour guide will join you for a Walking City Tour. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
DAY 7: Saturday, September 26, 2026
Prince Edward Island Touring
Enjoy a free morning in Charlottetown, Canada’s birthplace. This afternoon, tour the scenic North Shore of the island. Drive by red cliffs, white beaches, gently sloping sand dunes and green fields of Prince Edward Island National Park and visit Anne of Green Gables Heritage Place, the alluring inspiration of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s classic books. DAY 8: Sunday, September 27, 2026
Charlottetown, PE to Baddeck, NS
Ferry over the Northumberland Strait back to Nova Scotia and proceed to Cape Breton Island, the Scotland of North America, via the Canso Causeway. Visit Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site to learn of the many accomplishments of this genius who made his home on the island. Baddeck is your home for the next three nights. DAY 9: Monday, September 28
Cabot Trail Touring
Experience one of the most stunningly picturesque drives in North America today as you tour the Cabot Trail which winds around the rocky splendor of Cape Breton’s northern shore, ascending to the incredible plateaus of Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Look-offs offer unforgettable vistas of Cape Breton’s rugged coastline so be sure to have your camera on hand. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 10: Tuesday, September 29, 2026
Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site
Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site awaits today, and words cannot do justice to this reconstruction depicting one fifth of the settlement of 1744 New France. After your visit, enjoy free time this afternoon in Sydney or Baddeck. (Breakfast)
Day 11: Wednesday, September 30, 2026
Baddeck, NS to Halifax, NS
Recross the Canso Causeway back to mainland Nova Scotia. Learn about the Mi'kmaq people at Millbrook Cultural and Heritage Centre before continuing to Halifax for one last night in the Maritimes. Enjoy some free time before a Farewell Dinner to end your tour. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Depart Halifax, NS

Travelling with Atlantic Tours requires a certain level of activity and physical fitness to enjoy and take part in the tour.
While the specific requirements for each tour vary, in general, your client must be able to:
- Enter and exit the motorcoach on their own.
- Enter and exit tour boats on their own.
- Climb stairs with ease and at times without handrails.
- Walk up and down moderate to steep inclines.
- Walk on uneven surfaces.
- Walk distances of at least 1 kilometer at a reasonable pace.
- Walk and stand for up to 2 hours.
- Manage their own luggage if luggage handling is not available.
