Tour Coordinator/Planner

Atlantic Tours & Travel, “The Company with the Kilts”, is Atlantic Canada’s most comprehensive tour operator. Specializing in creating Worry Free Vacation Packages for individuals and groups, we offer City stay programs; custom-designed group programs; scheduled guaranteed departures in Canada, the United States and the world; professional step-on-guides; destination management services and customized cruise shore excursions. Core touring products include escorted scheduled vacations to Canada with emphasis on Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland & Labrador.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Coordinate group tour activity travelling to/ from and throughout Atlantic Canada
• Determine clients’ specifications and suggest suitable travel options
• Prepare itineraries and contracts; collect deposits and final payments
• Make arrangements for transportation, accommodations, ferries, air, sightseeing as required
• Handle alternative arrangements for unforeseen issues that may arise during the tour’s operation
• Complete all administration tasks necessary for the successful operation of the tour
• Provide after hours emergency phone support as required (i.e. on a rotation basis) throughout the touring season

• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers
• Motivation and ability to work independently as well as a strong team player
• Positive “can do” attitude
• Professional manner and appearance
• General understanding of Atlantic Canada geography
