Edmundston NB to Ottawa ON
Today takes you through Quebec, along the shores of the St. Lawrence River, past Quebec City and Montreal to Ottawa, your home for the next two nights. (Breakfast)

Explore Ottawa
This morning, enjoy a tour by motorcoach of our nation’s capital. The tour showcases Ottawa’s important landmarks as you learn about its past and present. The remainder of the day is free to explore at your leisure. Perhaps take a stroll along the Rideau Canada or downtown Ottawa. Or, take in one of the city’s wonderful museums and art galleries. Ottawa ON to Little Current ON
See how the landscape changes as you travel to Northern Ontario, a vast and diverse region. Marvel at the rugged beauty of the Canadian Shield, its rolling hills, rocky outcrops and expansive forests. Get a glimpse into the area which inspired the art of Canada’s beloved Group of Seven. Your destination today is Manitoulin Island on the shores of Georgian Bay. Did you know Manitoulin Island is the largest island in a fresh water lake in the world? This evening, enjoy dinner featuring local produce. (Breakfast, Dinner)
DAY 5: Tuesday, October 5, 2027
Little Current ON to Sault Ste Marie ON
Begin your day with a locally guided tour of Manitoulin Island. Enjoy a meaningful opportunity to learn about Anishnaabe culture and traditions from local knowledge keepers who share stories, history and perspectives rooted in their community. Discover the work of renowned artist James Mishibinijima and how his heritage and the natural beauty of Manitoulin Island inspire his art. Take in beautiful views of Georgian Bay before continuing westward to The Soo, as locals call Sault Ste Marie, your home for the next three nights. Your hotel is conveniently located along the city’s waterfront. (Breakfast, Box Lunch)
DAY 6: Wednesday, October 6, 2027
Agawa Canyon Train Tour
All aboard for this full day scenic adventure! Travel 114 miles (183 km) north of Sault Ste Marie, over towering trestles, alongside pristine lakes and rivers, and through amazing granite rock formations that inspired Canada’s famous Group of Seven artists. See the stunning views from large picture windows while learning about the Algoma Region. During your 90-minute stop at Agawa Canyon Park you may wish to relax, take a walk to one of the parks’ waterfalls or climb 300 steps for a panoramic view of the river canyon. Fingers crossed that Mother Nature cooperates as this is typically peak Fall Foliage season! This is your chance to sit back, relax and see all that nature has to offer! (Box Breakfast, Box Lunch)
DAY 7: Thursday, October 7, 2027
Exploring Sault Ste Marie
Your day starts with a tour of Sault Ste Marie with a local guide as you learn about its past, present and future. Afterwards, see The Soo from a different view during a boat tour. Travel along the historic St. Mary’s River, through the Sault Ste Marie Canal National Historic Site lock system, into Lake Superior and back through the American locking system (no passport required) as you learn about the history and significance of the locks to this area. This evening, a unique experience awaits: Dinner Among the Planes at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre. After a tour and time to explore some of the 24 aircraft exhibits, dine under the wings of bushplanes. (Breakfast, Dinner)
DAY 8: Friday, October 8, 2027
Sault Ste Marie ON to Kanata ON
Say farewell to Northern Ontario as you begin your homeward journey. Spend the night in Kanata. (Breakfast)
DAY 9: Saturday, October 9, 2027
Kanata ON to Edmundston NB
From Kanata, travel eastward through Quebec to Edmundston for the last night of your tour. (Breakfast)
DAY 10: Sunday, October 10, 2027
Edmundston NB to Halifax NS
Travel through New Brunswick, back to Halifax today, having created fond memories of your time discovering some of Northern Ontario’s Treasures. (Breakfast)
