Quebec's Magical Christmas Markets (6 days)
Montreal and Quebec City are magical during the holiday season. Both cities host outdoor Christmas markets which recreate the charm and atmosphere of those in Europe without having to get on a plane! Featuring beautiful decorations, delicious treats, exquisite gifts and joyful performances, the Christmas markets have something for everyone. Join Atlantic Tours on this wonderful tour and get a taste of how Europeans celebrate the Christmas season, all without having to take a flight!
In Montreal, you’ll find Le Grand Marche de Noel/The Great Christmas Market. Quebec City is well known for its German Christmas Market located in the heart of Old Quebec. Both markets are best enjoyed in the evening with the lights all aglow. Maybe there will be a nice sprinkling of snow to add to the wonderful holiday atmosphere! The outdoor markets are popular events and keep people coming back year after year!
In addition to the delightful Christmas markets, there is time to relax, shop and explore on your own. Your tour director is available to make suggestions and will arrange shopping excursions so you can find that perfect gift for someone special! This is a great tour for those who like some planned activities and free time!
Be sure to pack your winter woolies and boots! Old Man Winter visits La Belle Province sooner than we’re used to in much of the Maritimes!
Please note: While portions of this tour take place by motor coach, the Christmas markets and some other activities will be explored on foot. Guests should be prepared for short to moderate amounts of walking, sometimes on unsalted sidewalks, to fully appreciate the Christmas markets. We encourage you to consider your comfort and mobility to ensure an enjoyable experience.
