Although the calendar may say it’s spring, we Atlantic Canadians know it can still be cold and damp in April. So, why not escape the lingering winter weather and join Atlantic Tours for three weeks of sunshine on Spain’s Costa del Sol in April 2027? After months of chilly temperatures, imagine relaxing at a beachfront hotel overlooking the sparkling Mediterranean Sea.

Hosted by Atlantic Tours Tour Director Jacqueline LeVert, this fully escorted holiday takes care of every detail from the moment you leave Halifax until you return home. Jacqueline will be with you every step of the way, ensuring you can relax and help you make the most of your time in this spectacular region of Spain.

Your holiday also includes three excursions to some of southern Spain’s most fascinating destinations. Discover Gibraltar, where British and Mediterranean cultures blend to create one of Europe’s most unique destinations. In Rute, visit the Anise Museum to learn about the region’s famous for its liqueurs before enjoying a tasting accompanied by traditional tapas. Wander the charming, whitewashed streets of Frigiliana, widely regarded as one of Spain’s most picturesque villages, then continue to the seaside town of Nerja to see the famous Balcon de Europa and its breathtaking sea views.

DAY 1: Saturday, April 3, 2027
Flight to Spain
Meet your Atlantic Tours Tour Director and fellow travelling companions as you begin your journey to Spain! Travel first to Montreal before continuing overnight to Malaga, the gateway to Spain’s beautiful Costa del Sol.

DAY 2: Sunday, April 4, 2027
Malaga, Spain to Torremolinos, Spain
Following your arrival at Malaga Airport, meet your local driver for your transfer to the Meliá Sol Puerto Marina, your home away from home for the next three weeks.

Located on the seafront of Torremolinos along La Carihula Beach, the Sol Puerto Marina is surrounded by beautiful gardens, inviting public areas and pools overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Your hotel is perfectly situated for exploring the area on foot with shops, restaurants, walking paths and local attractions just steps away.

Your spacious one-bedroom apartment has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Enjoy a comfortable bedroom with 2 single beds, a separate lounge for relaxing or watching TV, a fully equipped kitchen for preparing your favourite meals and a private balcony where you can unwind while taking in views of the sea. Prefer to leave the cooking to someone else? The hotel also features a buffet restaurant on site and two bars serving meals and snacks. Air conditioning will keep you comfortable, while Wi-Fi keeps you connected with family and friends back home.

DAY 3 to DAY 22: Monday, April 5 to Saturday, April 24, 2027
Torremolinos, Spain

With three weeks to settle in, enjoy the freedom to spend your days exactly as you choose. You’ll have plenty of time to discover your favourite café, enjoy leisurely walks along the promenade, or simply relax and embrace the Mediterranean lifestyle.

April offers pleasantly warm, sunny days, with average daytime temperatures of 21°C (70°F). The Mediterranean Sea averages about 17°C (63°F)—which, compared to Atlantic Canada's waters even in the height of summer, feels positively balmy!

Atlantic Tours has included one full-day excursion each week, giving you the opportunity to discover some of the region's most fascinating destinations while still leaving plenty of free time to relax and explore independently.

Throughout your stay, Jacqueline will be available to answer questions, offer sightseeing suggestions, and help you make the most of your time on the Costa del Sol.

DAY 23: Sunday, April 25, 2027
Homeward Bound!
An early morning flight has you saying hasta la proxima (until next time) to the Costa del Sol as you return to Canada, having spent 3 weeks in the sun!
